− | + | Maddox and Wyatt find themselves in a world of black and white, inhabiting the bodies of Maxine Malone (Private Eye) and her assistant, Leopuld Stenson. TOM appears and informs them that they are where they are supposed to be just not when. In addition, he is unable to locate Brony or Andi at this time. Oh, and their avatars are going to be murdered in five days and their case will remain unsolved. In an effort to help them escape from this Metaverse, TOM brings in Rosie to help. Rosie is initially reluctant but agrees because TOM is the first being to give her a choice in the matter. The trio heads out to try and solve the murder of Max and Leo before it happens. Rosie's avatar, The Nose, is a mafia hitman from New York who was tracking down a missing shipment stolen by Nazis. Yes, really. And Max and Leo are trying to solve the murder of Freddy Fast Fingers, a meta human, except they can't remember anything that has happened to them in the past three days. They head to Max's preferred hangout, a seedy bar, to try and uncover any information they can. The bar is mostly a dead end but The Nose heads off to sniff things out around the office while Max puts in a call to her ex-partner Stevenson who owes her one. Stevenson reveals that Freddy's body has disappeared from the morgue. The trio heads to the murder scene to see what the neighbors know, and to bribe small children with cigarettes. The little old lady across the street didn't see much but Rosie uses the powers of Hex to show everyone what really happened that night. The pilots have a vision of Freddy looking at Max and saying, "They're coming. Do it Max." before being shot dead. Stunned, Max and Leopuld head to the morgue. The Nose, who can't handle formaldehyde, tries to get back on the track of the missing truck. At the morgue, after bribing the local constabulary, Max and Lou discover that not only is Freddy's body gone but that his organs were removed and sent off to a local medical school just days after he died. Eventually both parties find their way to The Calcutta Club, owned by Joey Batters. The club is full of patrons...some of whom smell an awful lot like people who were in Max's office a few days ago (The Nose knows). Max isn't particularly welcome there and Joey soon makes that very clear. He does reveal that Freddy had a large gambling debt with him but that he didn't have him whacked. The group tries to leave but finds themselves surrounded by many well dressed gentleman...and Joey Batters with a bat. Max attempts to cold cock Joey but finds out the hard way that Joey is a meta human too. Leo gets off a lucky shot and blows out Joey's eye, giving the rest of the crew a chance to cheese it. The trio makes an escape but The Nose has lost track of the shipment from the truck...last smelled inside the club. | |

Episode Twelve: Sentinel Noir | SEASON THREE PREMIERE
Maddox and Wyatt find themselves in a version of Chicago with a distinctly noir flavor. They are joined by Rosie as they race to solve a murder...before they are snuffed out themselves.
