			These "displaced" American GIs lost all contact with outside command and sent scouts to investigate their new environment. Their scouts encountered the [[Cult of Shad-Hujem\|Hujem]] army, led by [[God-King Shad-Hujem]] himself riding an ancient dragon. Panicking, the scouts fired on the unfamiliar, otherworldly forces, killing the dragon and dealing a tough blow to the Hujem, tipping the War of the God King against the cult and their allies in [[Merchants of Esh\|Esh]] and the Unseelie [[The Tuatha\|Tuatha]].

			Following the leadership of [[Simm Buxtehude]] of [[Kingdom of Holden\|Holden]], the Displaced allied with [[Magocracy of Arcanix\|Arcanix]], Holden, [[Protectorate of Malchior\|Malchior]], the [[Ord]], and the Seelie Tuatha against the God-King's forces. While Buxtehude and the Seelie prince [[Tuatha Dundareel\|Dundareel]] tricked their enemies to direct their forces elsewhere, the alliance smuggled the Displaced's only remaining city-killing bomb into the God-King's presence, subsequently vaporizing Shad-Hujem and burying the Godhead Seat under a mountain of stone.

			Despite their small size, the Displaced have been involved in major events of Countermay since their arrival. While their technology is some of the most advanced in the world, they are unable to replenish ordnance and fuel for their weapons and machines. Thirty years on, the Displaced have adapted to their new existence, marrying local women and learning magic. The founding generation still search for a way to return home, but their children, both human and half-human, have known no other home and accept their place as one of the major factions of Countermay.<ref name="rules">Vancil, Matt, and Nathan Rice.
